Learn Together, Grow Together

As the conference quickly approaches and we are all busy with recruiting and hiring staff for the summer, as well as attending other conferences - I am reminded of what makes Mid States so unique from any other event you may attend. Our unofficial motto has evolved to simply be "Learn Together, Grow Together". I could go in to a long explanation of our mission statement and history (those may come at a later date), but our motto sums them all up quite well. How many other professional conferences are you able to attend where you sit along side leaders of organizations and programs, as well as those who actually run those programs and who we all rely on to carry on our own personal and organizational missions.

As we move more into this electronic era and all of the wonderful things it offers, we as 'camp people' may be the only connection some people have with nature and dirt and butterflies and canoes. I'll be writing more about the specifics of the speakers, educational sessions, and special events that we have planned. Do be sure to register so that we all can learn together and grow together, and I look forward to seeing you in March.
